Biography
The Crinn, was first formed during August of 2005 in St. Paul, MN, out of a frustration with the average and mundane, breakdown oriented metal scene. Our decision to use an explorative style, without concern for genre exclusivity has enabled us to evolve and grow in a way that other %u201Cstylized%u201D bands cannot. Technical riffs, off-time grooves and jarring transitions are only a few of the focal points that we use when writing. These experiments have been labeled as mathcore, techmetal, techgrind, jazzmetal and even noodlegrind.

With our self-released debut EP in April 2006, "Kills Curiosity," we went out on the road to support it. From April into July, we covered most of the east coast and midwest. The tours included select dates with Purity Records' Johnny Cage Is A Fake, Metal Blades%u2019 The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza and Ferrets%u2019 See You Next Tuesday.
In Feb 2007 we toured down to Miami and back, covering the mid south and Florida, to promote a 3-song demo recorded at Adam Tucker Studios in Minneapolis, MN. This recording coupled with a live webcast of our performance in Pembroke Pines, FL, garnered attention from Eric Fernald, founder of Corrosive Recordings (Harlots, Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Veil Of Maya).
After returning home, we signed to a deal that put out a 5 song %u201CSelf-Titled%u201D EP on Corrosive Recordings that is now available widely via online sources.
In support of the release, we took off to the West Coast for three weeks starting June 21st through July 11th with metal band The Heartland (Creep Records).
After touring the US, we are home now, writing for our first full length album. Which we would like to release sometime in 2008.
